It is important to let staff know if your child has been exposed to a contagious disease so that we can monitor your child and the other children for symptoms.- If your child becomes ill, you will be called to come and pick up your child.
- Checks for head lice are done weekly; if head lice are found, your child will be sent home for for treatment for 24 hours. Before returning, the child must be checked by a staff member. ( see http://www.headlice.org/ )
- All medication that is left with a staff person that is prescribed by a physician shall bear a pharmacy label stating the physician's name, amount of dosage and times administered. Also, the date and time the medication was prescribed shall be current to the date on the medication when given by staff. A medical release form shall be filled out and signed by the parent before any medication can be given by staff.
